Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’s Carta d’Armenia is paper soaked in a mixture of infusions of resins and oriental spices. It burns without flame and the vapor purifies the air and scents interiors. It may also be used to perfume clothing by placing it intact in drawers or closets.

What a glorious, sensory experience.

A few years ago I was given a Melangrano in Scented Terracotta. Gorgeous, and it’s still releasing a gentle, warming scent.

I recently bought SMV’s Carta d’Armenia to test the product at home on a cold Winter’s night in Adelaide. The warm, rich and enveloping scent set the scene for a peaceful and relaxing evening.

Some lovely, unexpected samples accompanied my purchase. I’ll certainly be a return customer.

Takes me to another place

Reminiscent of incense on holy days at a cathedral but much more refined. The scent transports to ancient times and spaces. Love these burning incense papers and have used them for years. Enjoy!

Spicy. Just like I like it.

How I Do: Take a strip, and give it a few accordion folds. That way, it can stand up on its long edge. Once you start the smolder, it burns nice and evenly. And it looks pretty, burning that way.

If you're not into burning things, slip a strip into a discreet paper envelope, and drop it into your bag or favorite drawer, for a fresh reminder of its heady resin.

Overpriced scented paper. My apartment smells like burnt paper. A waste of money. I want a refund. Disappointed is an understatement.😡😡😡😡
